Why can't I hit my girlfriends kids?

Her 2 boys are holy hell, we have been dating several weeks, when I sleep over (couple nights a week) , I caught the 7 year old putting dog poop under my pillow and the 4 year old going through my brief case, they are out of control. Dads not around and Becky does nothing, I am going to beat them!
