Does doing well in art school correlate to later success ?

No. I have a friend of mine who has attented art school whom i consider to be a fairly decent artist. He's had his art exhibited at an art gallery before and even sold some, but when we get together at my house and sees the art my brother and i do (we are both self taught artist) he's somewhat taken back and surprised at the level of success i have achieved with no schooling. When i am commissioned to do work for someone the one question i've never been asked is ''where did you go to school?''.
