Yes, I use the Melitta type. You use a fine grind, about 2 Tbsp per cup of the ground coffee. Maybe a bit less, depending on your taste and the type of coffee. The people I usually make coffee for were used to logging camp coffee so they like it kind of strong. Fine grind is between "drip" and "espresso", if you're grinding it at the store. I grind it at home, which gives best flavour, and I just grind it until the machine won't get it any finer.
