***HELP PLEASE! Mive lump/ cold sore on bottom lip keeps coming back. What is it??***?

if it is a cold-sore then technically it won't ever go away...they are a type of virus, or some thing that you can't get rid of....umm, cures? I heard something about spraying it with hairspray (but this is coming from my cousin...so I wouldn't try it)
