Abscesses help after it has burst?

Okay my horse has a popped abscess it is about 1/4 ot grown it about 3 inches wide and its open its kinda wet because of the QLD floods but not to bad its in her back leg and shes an X race hose so its hard to get to is there anything iu can do to help keep it from getting any worse
